Balclutha!

For my Christmas holidays my family and I are driving to the south island. we are taking the interislander. then we are driving to Balclutha from wherever the interisland stops. the whole drive will take about 10 hours ;( anyways, I will still have fun when I get there because I have lots of family and friends living in balclutha. I do now really have any 'special' family traditions?? THANK YOU ALL FER REDIN MY BLOG!!! MUCH APPRECIATED, AND  HAVE FUN TO-BE YEAR 9S!!!!!!!!111!!!!1111!11111111! thank you St Benidicts.

HOW MY SPEEEEEECH WENT WOO

My speech topic is addicting foods and I think I did OKAY!! :)  it did go well (to me) then again, there is always room for improvement. Some other speeches i enjoyed were ones like Aisling who had a presentation with pictures and info/ Visual aids. OMG OMG SCORCH TRIALS IS ONE OF TEH BEST BOOKS IVE EVER RED. A book I have recently read is the book scorch trials. it is a really good book with a PLOT TWIST (OOOOOO) and I really liked it! it is a book I recommend to all of my friends!!! During the story a boy named Thomas is being put through trials, and one of the places he goes through is a place called the scorch (Mexico). along the way he meets cranks, and cranks are blood thirsty people who are infected with a disease called the flare. The people putting Thomas through the trials are a group called WICKED, (World In Catastrophe Killzone Experiment Department)

Speech

In the next 3 weeks I will say my speech, and I am excited and nervous. Something that I need concentrate on is remembering what I’m going to say, because (As some of my friends know) I have a *small* case of short term memory.  ;P anyway good luck with your speech! comment on what your speech is about.

SUPA SPACE!!!!!!!

One thing i found interesting about space is that there is a constellation named Hydra. That is SO cool!!!! Many may not know, but there is a T.v. show called marvels agents of shield and hydra is shields worst enemy.          Anyway, lets stsay on topic :P
an interesting thing abou this is that (as i said) hydra is also in a t.v. show as well as being a mythical creature, so i found it interesting that it was also a star constellation.

For my holiday, I went t balcutha and say all my cousins, friends, and my grandparents. I also bought a bunch of apple gift cards (for myself!) I didn't do that much, but I did download Clash of Clans! BTW JOIN MY CLAN: MG Dragon flame. well, hope you enjoyed your holiday!

Production Aftermath

It is a week after the production and I am really bored now that there is nothing to do. except this. so in this post I will be explaining what I liked about the production! My highlight of the production was defiantly being in props! Some thing that should be done differently next time is the mic situation. I think that the mics should not be connected to the persons waist by a wire because when somebody went to take of their medallions it got tangled in the wire. my favourite  scene was the Jetly Mansion. no explanation needed. nuff said. I think that my performance was good! gongrats to al main cast on good acting!

Production!

Well, the production is in a few days and I’m guessing everybody is pumped up! The thing I am most looking forward to in the production is probably my dance and also the audiences applause to the main casts amazing acting! My parents will be there on Thursday night I will be arriving at 6 on both nights.

Elections

This week we have been learning about elections! a few thing that I have learned about elections this week are: The  sovereign is not allowed into the debating chambers, also I learned that the word parliament comes from the word parla which means speak.

Reading

In this post I am explaining how I am doing in my reading challenges! Currently I am doing well! a few of the Challenges i have achived so far are the: Random Challenge and the Family challenge. and I have done at least halfway of the others. The challenge I really want to complete is the 20 book challenge.

Production progress

I'm in the band for the production with 3 other people. Right now we are making band props and we are doing really well with the instruments so far. So far we have made all four instruments. one of them is a cello shape, the other is a horn, another is drums, and the other looks like cymbals kinda.

RECENT ART!!!!

        Hello peeps!! this is the photo of my recent piece of art!!!! it is a picture of Anubis surrounded by hieroglyphics.  the thing I like about it is that all the colours together look really good. also the stool that Anubis is sitting on has the colours of Brazilian flag :D



EGYPT!!!!!!

For the past few weeks we have been learning about Egypt, and for a follow up we are building Egyptian villages, tombs, farms, and pyramids in Minecraft. (tell me in comments if I forgot anything!!!) also I have been studying about farming in Egypt, so I have learned many things about it ever since I have been studying it. But here is an interesting fact: When ancient Egyptians were farming, they used downgraded tools compared to the tools of today farming, but still very similar! Some of the tools they used were: Hand ploughs, oxen pulled ploughs, sickles, rakes, and hoes! The activity I leaned the most from was probably the A3 page we had to write/type about our topic. (mine was farming). The activity I enjoyed the most is by far the Minecraft project. I loved it of course because its Minecraft but its LEARNING in Minecraft. Video Games for homework is awesome :D

 

NARNVILLE!!!!!!

On Thursday we go to Nairnville park for gymnastics! its pretty fun, and at the begging and end we get to play games such as: Bull Rush (or whatever YOU call it) Red-Light-Green-Light, and much more :D     
The setup of the activities was different every time, so some times there was a trampoline and sometimes there was a slide.
Some of my FAVE part are: the game at beginning and end, the trampoline (you can bounce REALLY high) and the slide that leads into the ball pit. Also I enjoyed the lasers that we had to crawl under... yea... lasers...
I believe that I have improved in the general area of balancing.

Wat I Lerned hmmm... spelling

I learned a lot of things this week, but today (Monday) I learned that we are finally building something in Minecraft! Apparently we are building either pyramids or tombs. I probably forgot something. YAY! Minecraft! I hope we get to do it with other friends as well. :D in comments say what you are going to build!!!!!

BOOK GROUPS!!!!!!

Book groups are pretty COOL!!! we get crackers and stuff for the following:
Bringing our books during discussions :3
Reading the correct amount of chapters
Talking like humans not animals when at discussions.
Book groups are also a good opportunity to read/expand your 'horizon' of books
Derpy derp derp, gud bye, and i hope everybody finishes their book by Thursday!

CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS!!!

About 3 or 4 years ago, my dad would read the Captain Underpants series to me before I went to sleep. I lovedmit because even my dad would laugh at some of the jokes, and it helped me get to sleep. The author of the book is Dave Pilkey, whom makes not only kid/flatulence jokes, he makes stuff even my dad laughed at.

HOOLIDAY!!!

WOW. the holidays were really fun!!! on the first day of the holiday, (Thursday) I saw the Lego Movie! it was really good, and when we went back home, I downloaded the Lego Movie videogame*

the Lego Movie is probably one of the best movies I have ever seen, and if you haven't watched it, I suggest you do RIGHT THIS SECOND!!!!!! I also had a few sleep overs with my friends and ate possibly to much pizza :D
